At the Kurdistan college tournament, the Koya University football team finished in second place
The football team from Koya University took second place in the Kurdistan Universities Futsal Tournament, which was held at Sulaimani University. Kurdistan Universities Futsal Championship, which was held in Sulaimani University, featured Koya University vs. Halabja University in the final match. President of Koya University Asst. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hasseb Siddiq was continually on line with the coach of the Koya University team during the competition, also he praised Mr. Dilêr Kamal as the team supervisor.

A scientific outing was carried out by Biology Department third-year students
Students from the biology department's third year went on a field trip to the Sulaimani Water Factory. On Monday, March 6, 2023, The third-grade biology students visited the Sulaimani Water Factory, as part of a field trip organized by the department's head, Dr. Hiwa Ramadan Fatah, Asst.Prof.Dr. Hanan Tariq Subhi, and M. Hana Ali Mohammed on Practical Pollution.

Koya University's Faculty of Engineering held its second national symposium
The second symposium on "Engineering Research" was held by the Koya University, Faculty of Engineering. The Scientific Research Center of the Faculty of Engineering conducted a second national symposium on Monday, March 6, 2023, in the presence of Asst. Prof. Dr. Galawezh Bakr Bapir, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at Koya University, and a considerable number of teachers. Asst. Prof. Dr. Rahel Khalid, the Head of the Research Center of the Faculty of Engineering, delivered a speech to begin the symposium.

The Faculty of Science and Health at Koya University hosted a combined workshop with the departments of chemistry, biology, and medical microbiology titled "Added Chemical Ingredients in the Food and Cosmetics Industry, How to Store and Relationship with Human Health." A joint workshop on conducting scientific and health research was hosted by the departments of chemistry, biology, and medical microbiology on March 1 and 2, 2023, with the attention of an impressive number of teachers and students from Koya University's Faculty of Science and Health.
